Audi Hungaria: “smart logistics” with driverless transport system

Audi Hungaria is constantly making efforts to introduce digital solutions in both manufacturing and logistics. The latest example of this is their collaboration with Jungheinrich, in which six driverless transport vehicles were put into operation in the field of 2.0-litre four-cylinder Otto engine production. FTFs deliver various engine parts from the logistics area straight to the production line. They automatically stop at 57 stations during their journey of more than 1,000 metres, which allows for particularly efficient and reliable material transport.

Electrification 2.0: pros from FC Bayern receive Audi e-tron GT

Audi and FC Bayern are pushing ahead with the electrification of the soccer club that has the most members in the world. A total of 15 FC Bayern players and officials are now using the all-electric Audi e-tron GT or Audi RS e-tron GT premium models as their company cars. The official handover of the sporty electric cars took place on July 29 at the Audi Driving Experience Center in Neuburg an der Donau. Successful first half-year for Audi: record deliveries and strong profits

A healthy result after six months: the Audi Group achieved a successful half-year performance in spite of a critical situation with semi-conductor supplies. From January to June the company delivered 981,681 automobiles to customers worldwide, thus concluding the best first half in the history of Audi. The positive trend in volume is also reflected in the financial performance: sales revenue amounted to €29.2 billion. An operating profit of €3.1 billion testifies to high customer demand, a strong sales performance, and continued cost discipline. Moreover, in the first half-year Audi benefited from positive valuation effects in securing raw materials. The operating return on sales, at 10.7 percent, therefore lies within the strategic target range of 9 to 11 percent. Net cash flow amounting to €5.5 billion reflects the financial strength of the Audi Group.

Q4 e-tron series adds new all-wheel-drive model: Q4 45 e-tron quattro now available to preorder

The Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron are the first compact electric SUVs from the brand with the four rings. Following their launch in April, two new versions have been added to the range – the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron, the model with the longest range in the series, and an all-wheel-drive version, the Q4 45 e-tron quattro – both of which are available to order now.

“Better Normal”: working and learning at Audi goes remote

Audi is making major strides in the digital transformation of its collaboration processes. The company continues to expand its combination of remote, semi-remote, and office-based work. Audi is also incorporating remote learning into its vocational training programs. In close collaboration with the local Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Audi has developed a plan for a flexible learning and collaboration culture. On the basis of this concept, the Board of Management and the works council have agreed to permanently incorporate remote learning in the vocational training program. In the future, vocational trainees at Audi will be able to learn digitally for up to 20 percent of their training program.
