Dr. Tobias Schmidt-Reintjes was born in Würzburg in 1972.
After completing training as a banker, he studied Business Administration at the University of Regensburg with a focus on finance and strategic management. At the same time, he completed a trainee program to become a branch manager for Commerzbank AG for private and corporate customer business in Germany.
He began his professional career in Frankfurt as a consultant in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions.
In 2003, Dr. Tobias Schmidt-Reintjes moved to BMW Financial Services, where his responsibilities included risk and resource controlling. Other responsible positions in his career included Head of Human Resources Strategy, Head of Controlling for the BMW Group and, most recently, Head of Global Sales Planning and Sales Steering.
Dr. Tobias Schmidt-Reintjes assumed the Central Sales Planning and Steering function at AUDI AG on October 1, 2020. He has also been responsible for steering the Marketing and Sales division on an interim basis since October 6, 2020.
