Audi Employees Were Inventive Again in 2020

Despite the coronavirus, in 2020 Audi employees once again demonstrated the potential of their ideas. Last year they submitted a total of 15,628 ideas in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, exactly 9,265 of which were implemented. And a further figure is impressive: in 2020 AUDI AG saved more than 94.5 million euros through employees’ ideas. Of this, the company paid out 7.8 million euros in the form of bonuses to the employees.

Kelvin van der Linde competes for Audi in virtual world of Formula E

One month before the beginning of the new season in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), Formula E is launching the new edition of its virtual championship: Under the title of “Formula E Accelerate,” the participants will compete against each other on the simulator from January 28. Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler is entering Kelvin van der Linde, a professional race driver from the Audi family.

Discover the Neckarsulm production site virtually and interactively with AudiStream

Effective immediately, interested parties can now experience the production world of Audi at the Neckarsulm site online and in English via AudiStream. Tour guides accompany the virtual tour and answer questions in real time. One particular highlight: Participants also gain insights into the production processes for the fully electric Audi e-tron GT, which is built in Neckarsulm.

Together for clean rivers: Audi Environmental Foundation, BABOR and everwave launch cleanup initiative

The Audi Environmental Foundation, German cosmetics manufacturer BABOR and green start-up everwave have joined forces to combat the worldwide pollution of rivers with plastic waste. The three partners are planning a joint initiative for 2021 with several projects spread throughout the year. These include information events, projects at the sites of the participating partners, and cleanup activities at various locations. To kick off the program, everwave’s CollectiX waste collection boat will collect waste floating in the Danube. BABOR and the Audi Environmental Foundation are supporting the use of this boat.
