Awards for Audi in January and February

China’s “Best Cars of 2016”: Six awards for Audi
Audi took first place six times in the “Best Cars of 2016” awards in China. That was the outcome of voting among Chinese readers of auto, motor und sport magazine. The locally produced models Audi A6 L, Audi Q5* and Audi A3* each won their class in the “Best Domestic Model” category. The Audi A3 was also the overall winner in the “Best Compact Car” category. The “High Resale Value” and “Good Value for Money” brand prizes also went to Audi. Sportauto China, a subsidiary brand of auto, motor und sport China, also honored the brand for having the best customer racing program in Asia. (February 2, 2016)

Audi A6* is the “Value Champion of 2016”
The Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI competition quattro* is the car with the most stable value in its class. Auto Bild magazine and the independent market observer Eurotax Schwacke crowned the A6 the “Wertmeister” (Value Champion) in the luxury class. The “Value Champion” rating is awarded annually in 13 categories. The jury highlights the cars that they forecast will best maintain their value in euros within their class over the next four years. “Car of the Year” selected in Portugal: Three victories for Audi
Audi drove home three first-place finishes in the “Car of the Year” voting in Portugal: The Audi A4* won in the “Executive” category and the Audi Q7* topped the “Crossover” category. The adaptive cruise control driver assistance system with stop & go function was recognized for its technical innovation. (February 18, 2016)

DEKRA Used Car Report: Audi A6 is the “Best of All Classes”
Victory for Audi in the DEKRA Used Car Report: the Audi A6 is the “Best of All Classes” and winner of the “Luxury Mid-Size/Luxury Full-Size Class”. The DEKRA Used Car Report is based on the results of around 15 million general inspections. (February 25, 2016)

Top rating in US crash test: Audi Q7 named top safety pick
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the Audi Q7 a top safety pick+. The Audi Q7* received the top ranking of“Good”from the IIHS in all evaluated crash disciplines. This makes the premium SUV one of the safest automobiles on the US market. The Q7 was also awarded a“Superior”rating for its Audi pre sense city front crash prevention system that is a standard feature. At city driving speeds, the Audi pre sense city assistance system warns the driver of impending collisions with pedestrians or other vehicles, and in an emergency it initiates hard braking. Gold for Audi in the iF Design Award competition
The Audi A4 and Audi e-tron quattro concept have won the iF Design Award 2016 in the “Gold” category. The jury based its selection of the Audi A4 on the “clearly defined look” of the A4’s exterior as well as its “perfect combination of clear lines and functional ambience.”  The e-tron quattro concept impressed with its clear formal language and flowing dynamics, which continue on the car’s interior. In addition, Audi won the iF Design Award 2016 for the Audi R8* and the Audi Q7. (February 26, 2016)

Audi a Top Employer in 2016
Audi is the most popular employer in the automotive industry: that is the finding of the “Top National Employer” study by FOCUS magazine and the social network Xing. Audi won in the “Automotive Industry/Large Company” category, and the company took second place in the overall ranking of all sectors. Employees from 2,000 companies and 22 sectors participated in the voting phase; a total of 70,000 individual results were submitted. (January 28, 2016)

Prize for Audi A4 Sedan* in UK
The British company Contract Hire and Leasing has selected the Audi A4 Sedan as “Car of the Year 2015.” The jury praised the design as well as the driving dynamics and efficiency of the A4 sedan. (January 28, 2016)

Audi a top patent applicant in 2015
Audi is in third place among Germany’s top 50 patent applicants for 2015. This was the result of a ranking by IFI Claims Patent Services, a provider of global patent databases. (January 13, 2016)

Audi Q7: “Luxury SUV of the Year” in Belgium
The Belgian magazine 4×4 Plus has crowned the Audi Q7 the “SUV of the Year.” A jury of 26 automotive journalists tested the Q7 for the magazine and selected it in first place in the “Luxury SUV” category. 4×4 Plus presented awards in a total of seven different categories. (December 22, 2015)
