SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed mostly higher in the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (Jun 8).
For Category A cars, or those 1600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$53,694 up from S$47,020 three weeks ago. Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B rose to S$56,000 from S$49,156.
Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, rose to S$55,100 from S$49,700.
Motorcycle premiums closed at S$6,302, down S$1 from the last exercise.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, rose to S$46,434 from S$43,002 in the previous bidding exercise.
A total of 9,717 bids were received, with a quota of 4,859 COEs available.
