Strong debut for the Audi e-tron FE07 in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship: At the season opener in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), René Rast from the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team finished in fourth place missing the podium by only two tenths of a second. Teammate Lucas di Grassi made up seven positions in the first night race in the history of the electric racing series, also scoring world championship points in ninth place.

Audi site Neckarsulm tests sustainable water cycle
Audi is committed to the responsible use of resources. In the environmental program “Mission Zero”, the company therefore not only has its sights set on the decarbonization of its production sites, but also on the water supply for the plants. The Neckarsulm location aims to produce wastewater-neutral by 2025 and relies on a closed water cycle with the sewage treatment plant of the association “Unteres Sulmtal” adjacent to the plant. Before the cycle and the associated construction of a new water supply system in the plant can start, Audi tests the process with a pilot facility.

Oliver Hoffmann named new Member of the Board for Technical Development
Oliver Hoffmann will head Audi’s Technical Development. At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board appointed the division’s current Chief Operating Officer to the Board of Management of AUDI AG, effective March 1, 2021. CEO Markus Duesmann has been realigning Technical Development, fulfilling two roles since mid-June 2020 and placing a particular focus on process quality. Hoffmann has already played a key role in this process for the past nine months.
