Audi is pushing forward with the digitalization of its production activities. Following a successful pilot project, the brand with the four rings has begun rolling out an artificial intelligence (AI) system for quality-control of spot welds in car body construction. The AI was developed and tested beforehand at the Neckarsulm site. By the end of the year, the technical infrastructure for the use of AI will be installed at three other Volkswagen Group locations. The project also serves as a use case for the Automotive Initiative 2025 (AI25) launched by Audi.

The NSU “Uruguay” is undoubtedly an exotic member of the NSU family. That’s what the Neckarsulm locals colloquially called the rustic station wagon back in the day. Between 1969 and 1971, the NSU importer in Montevideo produced around 500 units of the somewhat angular car in P6 and P10 versions. Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback stand for immense driving performance with maximum everyday practicality. The new Audi RS 6 Avant performance and RS 7 Sportback performance models are now more powerful and faster than any Audi RS 6 and RS 7 that came before. Their potent 4.0-liter V8 biturbo TFSI engines produce 463 kW (630 hp) and have a maximum torque of 850 Newton meters. These new models spearhead a history that began almost 30 years ago with the Audi S6 Plus.
