SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended mixed among the five categories on Wednesday (May 18) in the latest bidding exercise.
For Category A cars, or those 1600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$47,020, down from S$47,889 in the previous exercise. Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B decreased to S$49,156, from S$51,010.
Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, increased to S$49,700 from S$49,000. Motorcycle premiums closed at S$6,303, a S$1 increase from S$6,302 in the previous exercise.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, rose from S$42,302 in the previous exercise to S$43,002 in the latest exercise.
A total of 7,219 bids were received, with a quota of 4,931 COEs available.
