Audi is showing its commitment to diversity: For the first time, employees of the car manufacturer will take part in Munich’s Christopher Street Day on Saturday, July 13. The theme for 2019 is “50 years after Stonewall – celebrate diversity! Fight for equality!” and commemorates the launch of the queer movement. “As the Audi queer community, we want to set an example together and make it visible. It’s about breaking down prejudices and supporting an open corporate culture,” says Daniela Kobel, spokeswoman for the network. Audi is participating as a partner of the PROUT AT WORK Foundation, which is aimed at achieving equal opportunity for all. Among other things, it helps employees to openly embody their sexual orientation or gender identity at work. Audi is also involved in other diversity initiatives and at the end of May 2019 moved from being a signatory of the Diversity Charter to a member.
